Our Vision is Our Mission
The vision of Cook County Family Connection is that all children, youth and families of Cook County will have an enhanced quality of life through a continuing, comprehensive and coordinated community effort.
Cook County Family Connection was created in 1991 as a small group of concerned professionals working to address the educational, social and physical needs of local children and youth.
Originally known as the Cook County Commission for Children and Youth, the organization has evolved into a strong, active collaborative with dedicated members representing a cross-section of the community. The collaborative includes public agencies, schools, private organizations, businesses, civic clubs, faith groups, youth organizations, parents, families, students and concerned citizens.
Cook County Family Connection has been a member of the Georgia Family Connection Partnership since 1997. Georgia Family Connection is a statewide initiative that cultivates collaboration at the local level to promote healthy and academically successful children and stable families.
